Directions to Shantz Mennonite Church

Our 100th Reunion will be located 17km (10.6 miles) west of Kitchener, just north of the village of Baden, ON

 

From points along the western end of Lake Ontario:

Find your way to Kitchener; from there follow the directions listed below from Kitchener-Waterloo.

 

From Kitchener-Waterloo area:

Generally from any location in Kitchener, find your way to Erb Street West in Waterloo, located adjacent to Kitchener just to the north.  Erb Street West eventually turns into Erbs Road.  Proceed west through St. Agatha.  About 3.7 km (2.3 mi) ahead, you will see Shantz Church on the left at the intersection of Erbs Road and Sandhills Road. 

As an alternative, when in Kitchener, find your way to Highway 8 (also known as King’s Highway 8).  Travel west on Highway 8, exiting at the Queen Street/Notre Dame Drive interchange.  Proceed to the right, turning on to Notre Dame Drive (Regional Road 12), heading northwest.  Continue through Petersburg to St. Agatha.  Upon arriving in St. Agatha, turn left on to Erb’s Road.  Continue on Erb’s Road; Shantz Church will be ahead on the left. 

 

From Detroit and areas near western Lake Erie:

Cross from Detroit in the US to Windsor, ON.  From there take Highway 401 (also known as King’s Highway 401 or the Macdonald-Cartier Freeway) east.  Please note that this is a toll road.  Proceed east to Exit 250, County Road 29/Oxford Road in Drumbo.  Exit to the right, continuing east on Route 29.  In Drumbo, turn left on to Route 3, Oxford Road.  Oxford Road turns into Washington Road at the intersection of Route 3 and Route 8; continue north on Route 3/Washington Road.

At the intersection of Washington Road and Oxford-Waterloo Road, turn left.  In approximately 900 meters (3000 ft +/-), turn left on to Sandhills Road.  In  approximately 13 km (8 miles) you will see Shantz Church on the right.

 

From Buffalo, NY:

Take I-190 north to Exit 9, looking for signs for I-190 North/Peace Bridge/Canada and merge onto I-190 North.  Cross the Peace Bridge; upon continuing through the Canada Border Services and toll plaza, look for Queen Elizabeth Way.  Continue on Queen Elizabeth Way, getting off at exit 100 toward Brantford/Hamilton, passing Burlington.  In approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) take the exit to Highway 403 west. 

From Highway 403, take exit 74 (ON-6 north toward Guelph).  When you arrive in Morriston, continue on ON-6 north/Highway 401 west.    Follow Highway 401 west, Highway 8 west and ON-7/ON-8 west to Notre Dame Drive/Regional Rd 12 in Wilmot. Take the Regional Road 12/Notre Dame Dr exit from Hwy 8 W/ON-7/ON-8 W

Continue on Regional Road 12 through Petersburg to St. Agatha.  Upon arriving in St. Agatha, turn left on to Erb’s Road.  Continue on Erb’s Road; Shantz Church will be ahead on the left. 

 

There will be a Welcome Desk in the lobby.  All Registered Attendees should stop there first to check in.
