1st Annual Brubaker Family Reunion, 1919
2nd Annual event held on the Homestead
On Saturday, September 13, 1919 the Brubaker and Hershey extended families held their first annual reunion or “Freundschoft” on the Homestead of Brubaker cousin Menno Brubaker, between Brickerville and Brunnerville on Brubaker Valley Road. According to records approximately 2500 people were in attendance that day. This Brubaker Homestead is no longer in the family but is still in production to this day.
Adjacent to the farm is one of many Brubaker-Brubacher cemeteries, this one being the Brubaker-Bar cemetery.
There were two programs that day, one at 9:30am and 1:00pm.
