A Bridge Between the Past and the Present
“The people who live by the bridge over the mountain stream” is said to be the meaning of our name. This bridge is over Brubaker Run, near the site of Hans Brubaker’s home and adjacent to the oldest existing “A” Family homestead, on the grounds of Rader Park, adjacent to Homestead Village Retirement Community, outside of the village of Rohrerstown, East Hempfield Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.
We hope that this website, while informative and entertaining, will serve as a bridge of sorts. As a repository of Brubaker family history and memories, we hope that this will also in some way serve as a bridge between where we came from and where we might be going. A bridge between old and new, then and now, and to the future.
