There are benefits to using DNA to trace family history. This presentation looked at the European heritage of the Brubaker/Brubacher family and what has been found through DNA testing and research. The latest discoveries were shared, tracing the Brubakers back into Europe before the time of written records, with a particular focus on how the Brubakers (through DNA) relate to other Swiss-German families. Going back further in time, it showed how DNA research has traced the ancient origins of the Brubaker family, from the times of the Romans and before.
