Brubaker – White House Graveyard, White House, VA

Located east of New Market, VA and west-southwest of Luray, VA, in the Page Valley.  This resting ground is also just a few miles away from the Brubaker Cemetery in nearby Hamburg. 

There are 93 known interments in this cemetery, of which at least 38 are Brubakers. The oldest documented interment is from 1749, the latest from 1997. 

This cemetery is the resting place of Gideon P. Brubaker, who’s headstone was a source of intrigue when it was discovered in early 2020, buried in someone’s front yard in Florida.  You can read about that discovery here and the ultimate return of his headstone to his grave here.
