2020 Brubaker Family “Virtual” Reunion

98th Annual Reunion will be online

Physical event has been canceled; speakers and presentations will be accessible online

Due to the COVID-19 virus situation, the 98th annual Brubaker Family Reunion will be moving online.  Scheduled for Saturday August 1st, 2020, the event for many years has been held on the land of the original property patented and warranted from William Penn to Hans Brubaker.  However, even as we return to whatever normal is, out of an abundance of caution and sensitivity to others, we will be having a “Virtual” reunion this year.

The Board of Directors of the Brubaker Families of America have given careful consideration and have decided to move the event to online.  We plan to have a ‘virtual’ reunion where we will be able to access our speakers and presenters and view them on platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.

We are pleased to have cousin Dennis Oberholtzer who will be presenting on what it was like when our Swiss families immigrated to America in the 18th century.  In addition, cousin and Family Association Historian Elaine Renkin will be sharing about the mystery of Brubaker cousin Gideon P. Brubaker whose headstone was unearthed in the yard of a home in Charlotte County, Florida.  His family is buried in one of the Brubaker cemeteries in Virginia.  So how did it get from there to Florida?

We had hoped to have a very special 100th birthday celebration for Robert Brubaker Noll, who lived and farmed nearby on part of the original  property patented and warranted from William Penn.  Instead, we hope to present a video interview of him earlier this year prior to his 100th birthday.

We will be “live” via Zoom at 3:00pm for our reunion.  You can join us by clicking the link below:
