100th Annual Brubacher-Brubaker Family Reunion

August 5-7, 2022; will be held near the site of 5th annual event from 1923

Mark your calendar!  Our 100th annual Brubaker Family Reunion and Celebration of 200 years of Brubachers in Ontario will be held August 5th through 7th, 2022, in Kitchener, Ontario!

Plan your vacation now around our three day event!  Shantz Mennonite Church‘s new facility in nearby Baden will be the host location from which our event, festivities, and reunion activities will center around.

There will be exciting, educational, and recreational activities for the whole family!  Cousins of all ages, from children on up to our seasoned citizens are welcome to join us in our Centennial Reunion.  In addition to featured speakers and presentations, be sure to take the children to The Museum.  Visit Brubacher House, the home of our ancestors who migrated to Canada from Lancaster County PA.  While you are in town, visit Victoria Park, site of our 5th annual reunion.  There are also St. Jacobs Market and Pioneer-Doon Village to visit.

Your trip wouldn’t be complete without visiting the West Montrose Kissing Bridge, Canada’s Wonderland, Niagara Falls, and all of the wonders of Toronto, the third largest metropolis in North America.  There is plenty for the whole family, including the children to see, do, and enjoy!

Do you prefer mainly outdoors activities?  Add to your Family Reunion vacation a mini getaway to the Muskoka Lakes region, one of Ontario’s favorite year-round outdoor destinations!  Boating, fishing, hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, camping, zip-lining, and aerial parks are just some of the myriad opportunities for you to experience to make a complete vacation around our Family Reunion!

Focusing on “Our Roots”, there will be presentations throughout the weekend focusing on our ancestors in Switzerland, France and Germany; and from Pennsylvania and Ontario on Saturday.  Saturday night will feature more recent and personalized accounts and stories.  We will conclude the celebration of our roots with a concluding inter-denominational church service Sunday morning.

We plan to be “live” via Zoom or similar while broadcasting on social media during the program events for our reunion.  So if you are unable to join us, we hope to broadcast live and make the reunion presentations available for viewing at your leisure after the festivities conclude.

We will be sure to publish more information as needed.  In the meantime, please be sure to contact us at 100reunion@brubakerfamilies.org.
