Brubaker Family Reunion 2025

Come and join us Saturday August 2nd at 11:00am!

Come and join us for our 103rd annual Brubaker Family Reunion in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, PA!

On the land of the original property patented and warranted from William Penn to Hans Brubaker, you will find our meeting place at Bachman Center, a part of Homestead Village Retirement Community. Located at 633 Community Way, we are adjacent to the campus of Homestead Village, and the Church of the Apostles United Church of Christ.

This year we are pleased to have cousin Lois Ann Zook Mast as our featured speaker and  very special guests!  Cousins Theo and Rosemarie Hafner from Germany will be Stateside and speaking before our assembly!  Lois Ann and her husband Lamar last year once again led a group of Brubaker-Brubacher cousins on a tour of our Family’s European homeland.  We are looking forward to spending time at the event with our cousins who participated on that tour as Lois Ann speaks to us and we reminisce together over the experiences of that memorable event.

Theo and Rosemarie have been instrumental (along with several key family members both in The Netherlands and in the USA) in pushing back the boundaries of what we are learning of our European ancestors.  Many of our ancestors were known as Anabaptists; they were persecuted for their religious beliefs back in the day.  In an effort to escape persecution from the state church and to find economical land to farm, they began emigrating to the New World in the 17th and 18th centuries.  Theo and Rosemarie will be speaking about the German church-state relationship back in that era, the factors that contributed to their leaving for William Penn’s colony, and what the church and state are like in the present day.

Be sure to come and join us on August 2nd, and bring photos and memorabilia to show! Take the time to join us and renew relationships and make new ones too!

There is no fee to join us, however, we ‘pass the hat’ to collect contributions to help defer costs. Homestead Village provides an optional meal for us, for a nominal fee. Advance reservations are required should you desire to have the lunch provided for you.
