2nd Annual Brubaker Family Reunion, 1920

2nd Annual event held on the Homestead

On Saturday, September 4, 1920 the Brubaker and Hershey extended families held their second annual reunion or “Freundschoft” on the Homestead of Brubaker ancestor Hans Brubacher (A-1, 1685-1748).  According to records over 260 people were in attendance that day.  The Brubaker Homestead is now the site of Homestead Village Retirement Community and the Church of the Apostles, located just west of Lancaster, adjoining the village of Rohrerstown.  Just down the street was (and still exists to this day) the homestead of Hershey family patriarch Christian Hershey, now the Conestoga House event venue.

There were two programs that day, one at 9:45am and 2:00pm.
